Partners in Education
Partners in Education is about adults working together to reach a common goal: to enhance and strengthen the educational and social environment for the Jericho Elementary School students.

JES is an amazing school because our families come together to support each other in their own ways, both big and small. Many hands make light work! Everyone makes a difference.

RECENT NEWS/EVENTS
Welcome to the 2015-2016 School Year!!
PIE = Partners In Education

HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED?
We welcome participation and support from all members of the JES community. The PIE Board is made up of interested parents, teachers, and staff who want to get involved in the JES community.
  • Be an organizer. We need people to take the lead, gather a small group and get things going. We have TONS of background information on every event ever done at JES so you never have to reinvent the wheel.
  • Volunteer. There are so many ways to volunteer your time. Just ONE hour a year goes a long way! Join a committee, set up a display case, set up or cleaning up after an event, change the outdoor school sign, etc.
  • Bake. Good old fashioned bake sales never go away. There are several events throughout the year where people count on Partners in Education to provide baked goods and refreshments.
  • Donate. We fund raise throughout the year to support JES enrichment activities. The funds raised through PIE efforts go support to activities, events, and people at JES. Some of the 2015-2016 projects include: Four Winds, monthly fresh fruit and veggies for the cafeteria, funding for the artist in residence program (occurring every other year), Halloween party, Winter, Spring fun days, staff appreciation week and more!
  • Meetings. Meetings are held monthly at JES in the music room. EVERYONE is encouraged and welcome to attend. We meet the first Thursday of each month from 6:30- 8:00 pm. The monthly meetings are a great way to get informed on what’s happening in the school community and voice your thoughts and ideas.
Please feel free to contact Tracy Dolan or Laura Hill with questions about participating in PIE!
